Case and Point: He has mastered the concept of 'vertical.'
Previously, if he wanted something, and it was out of reach, he would simply give up. Now he has realized that if an object is in the way, he simply can climb OVER it, to get to the desired goal. If you place something on the table behind the couch, he will climb on top of the laundry basket, then to the couch, and bam! he's got his object.
Here he's simply climbing over a large storage bin to get from one room to the next.
And here, he's figured out in order to get that lamp waaayyy up on top of the dresser, he climbs on the bed, then the nightstand, and finally he's reached his goal.
As you can imagine, this kind of mobility scares the living daylights out of his parents.
He's really smart, i'm happy to say. He's starting to repeat sounds that he hears. Sometimes you feel like he's making fun of you. When i choked on some water yesterday, and started coughing, he looked at me, and imitated the coughing sound. Of course, this made me laugh, which made me choke some more, and he kept up there right along with me.
He's eating really well, and growing by the day. I fear it will soon be time to use two hands to hold him down & lift him up. He's super happy as always and loves new things.
'Till next time!
